2019 Gala - Cirque du CFSNM

2019 Gala - Cirque du CFSNM

The evening begins with a glamorous cocktail hour where our guests walk down the red carpet to view a car display and stop at our photo booth to have a memento of the evening. Guests are then each offered a complimentary signature drink as they are guided into our Casino Room. In the Casino Room, guests may bid on fabulous silent auction packages, preview one-of-a-kind experiences up for bid in our live auction, and partake in games like Texas hold’em, blackjack and some circus games. The party moves to the Dining Room where the program begins over a full course dinner and the live auction is presented over dessert. Following dinner, guests continue their night playing games, dancing to music mixed by a live DJ and bidding in the silent auction until it closes at 9:30 p.m., with the night ending at 11:00 p.m.

When you purchase a ticket or make a contribution to our Gala, know that you’re furthering the important work that your Community Foundation is doing to better serve, connect and support the lives of those who call southern New Mexico home, including our 40 non-profit partners. See you there!

In order to make this a success, we are in need of many volunteers.

Should your organization have items you would like to donate, we will gladly accept those as well! Each participant at TTWSMR will walk away with a raffle prize; anything from gift certificates, to hats, shirts, pens; whatever you can donate to this wonderful event.

OutsmART: Species in Peril Dia de los Muertos Workshop

This dynamic workshop will be a collaboration between the University Art Museum at NMSU and the Southwest Environmental Center which offers a artistic experience for all ages to create altarpieces and Retablos that pay homage to and recognize our extinct and nearly disappeared Rio Grande species. The works will reference the traditional style of Mexican Retablo ex-voto paintings, making visual vow with paint and collage on tin that memorialize our Species in Peril Along the Rio Grande. The final works will be presented on November 1, 2019, as a large alter during the Old Mesilla, Día de los Muertos celebration.
This workshop is part of the Regional Collaboration series in partnership with 516 Arts a contemporary museum in ABQ who is responding to the global biological crisis happening in our region along the Rio Grande. This free event will be held on October 26th, 12PM-2PM here in the brand new Devasthali Hall (RM. 106/Zane Bennett Collection Study Room) on the campus of New Mexico State University.
