 Singing Out Las Cruces, a community LGBTQ and Allies Choir, will perform songs composed and recorded by Joan Baez, Carole King, Elton John, The Beatles, Stevie Wonder, Pink and many other artists.

Join us for Entrepreneur Encounters featuring Janean Mann of Junes.

Entrepreneur Encounters is a speaker series featuring local entrepreneurs. This event invites the community to hear entrepreneurs share the story of their business journey, and lessons learned along the way. Through this event we hope to make connections between businesses, community members and NMSU's Arrowhead Center to help grow entrepreneurship in our community and support the success of our local businesses.

Janean spent her entire professional life creating. Learning from a variety of careers, including photographer, graphic designer, prep chef, and self-taught front-end web developer in cultural capitals like Austin, Marfa, Portland and NYC, she adventurously navigated her own path. Prior to founding Junes, a functional elegant bag and fashion activism company in 2014, she worked as a Tech Lead in a digital agency in Midtown Manhattan in New York City. She has worked with influencer brands on projects such as Nintendo, Konami, Virgin, and Go Army. Her style and aesthetic influences have transformed over the years and come from her love of still life art, minimalism, film photography and her love of desert plants. Proud to have grown up in the binational culture of the border in El Paso, Texas and neighboring Ciudad Juárez, Mexico she is excited to have her new company based in the area. Janean holds a degree in Environmental Design from Texas A&M and currently based in El Paso, Texas.
