Join us for an enticing artist lecture with Jenny Morgan featuring her works in Jenny Morgan: A HIGHER GROUND. This exhibition tracks the development of Morgan’s body of work starting from graduate school at the School of Visual Arts to her more recent paintings exploring the individual through high-def glimmering layered portraits that tackle the real and surreal.  

The University Art Gallery is located in D.W. Williams Hall, 1390 E. University Ave. Las Cruces, NM 88003, near the intersection of Solano and University Aves.

The University Art Gallery (UAG) is hosting a guest lecture by renowned vascular surgeon and avid contemporary art collector, Wayne F. Yakes. This lecture is open to all NMSU students, staff, and faculty, as well as community members. This event is free of charge and offered as accompanying programming to the UAG's upcoming exhibition: "Jenny Morgan, A Higher Ground" (works on loan to the NMSU UAG from Dr. Yake's personal collection). 

Dr. Wayne F. Yakes, M.D., a pioneer vascular & interventional radiology specialist and passionate art collector who began his collection with an emphasis in Russian Art and has now collected contemporary figurative artists from across the world.
