David Armijo
David J. Armijo
is a highly recognized executive working in transportation leading projects and
programs in aviation, toll roads, rail and transit for government agencies in
California, Florida, New Mexico, and Texas.
In 2015, David returned to his hometown in Las Cruces, New Mexico, to serve
as the Executive Director for the South Central Regional Transit District. The District provides regional transportation
planning, and transit services and recently completed a Passenger Commuter Rail
study serving Dona Ana County and El Paso.
David has a master’s degree in public administration from California State University, Long Beach and was awarded Graduate Student of the Year. David is an adjunct professor teaching graduate courses on Leadership, Labor Relations, and Executive Management. In 2004 David was the Alumnus of the Year for California State University, Long Beach.
David has a long history of civic service,
serving on national and state boards in Transportation and locally, serving as
a volunteer for community service organizations.
