History & Haunts, Ghosts of old Mesilla!

Step back in time when you walk the evening streets of the old Mesilla Plaza.

Founded in 1848, this sleepy Mexican town was once surrounded by the unruly waters of the Rio Grande, as well as being located in Mexico in its early frontier days!

The towns people eventually built acequias and levees to contain the restless Rio and the Gadsden Purchase located the old West Town back inside the US territory.

The town has seen a very diverse history of peoples, from Mexican farmers, pioneer families, freighters, merchants and the wild west outlaws and gunmen, to raiding Apache's and even the confederate troops stationed in Mesilla from 1861-1862.

All have left an indelible mark on the sleepy village by the Rio Grande, and some individuals have never left!

Venture out with our guide and take a leisurely evening walking tour by lantern, through the old Plaza.

Your guide will recount some of the intriguing history of the old shops surrounding the Plaza, as well as the paranormal activity associated with the old storefronts and former Dram shops.

The tour will conclude inside the Double Eagle, have a drink from their famous bar while your guide shows you the evidence that professional paranormal investigators have documented on this site.
("Ghost Margarita" drink is discounted for our group from $10 to $7!
